Job Description:

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist. This role serves as a key partner across all aspects of the HR team, with a particular focus on supporting the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team in the execution of people strategies. This will handle a variety of HR functions, including resolving team member inquiries and initial employee relations intake, data analysis to identify workplace trends, and providing broad support to centralized HR initiatives. We are seeking a proactive individual who is passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive culture, possesses a solid understanding of HR policies and procedures, demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, and desires to continuously grow and learn across the many aspects of Human Resources.

Some things you can expect to do:

Team Member Support & Employee Relations

  • Proactively build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with team members and managers to serve as an approachable point of contact.
  • Address and resolve team member inquiries by partnering with HR subject matter experts as needed
  • Conduct initial intake and preliminary interviews for employee relations matters, and escalate complex issues to the Employee Relations Specialist, HR Business Partner or Chief People Officer, as appropriate.
  • Champion team member engagement and facilitate team building activities to foster a positive organizational culture
  • Assist in the administration of the talent review cycle, ensuring timely and effective feedback between managers and team members.
  • Coordinate, support, and facilitate team member training programs to drive continuous learning and skill development
  • Partner with HRBPs and other HR team members to roll out new programs and process improvements
  • Support employee resource groups (ERGs) through operational support for company-wide cultural observances


Hiring, Preboarding, Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to provide candidates and new hires with seamless onboarding experience and clear day-one readiness
  • Conduct exit interviews and facilitate offboarding processes in a timely manner. Analyze offboarding trends to provide HR Business Partners and the Employee Relations Specialist with actionable insights
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of team member records


General HR Duties:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment and clarity
  • Advocate for consistent application, providing guidance to team members and managers on standard practices and policies
  • Prepare HR-related reports and metrics, provide recommendations based on data findings to HRBPs and HR Leadership
  • Manage personnel file requests with adherence to state-specific employment laws and data privacy standards
  • Collaborate with managers, Employee Relations Specialist, and HRBPs to draft and implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) that support team member growth and accountability
  • Compose promotion and key job change memos, secure necessary approvals, and ensure timely completion, communication, and processing


To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or similar support capacity role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and fundamental employment laws in a practical business context
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office applications

Compensation:

The annual base salary is $75,000 - 90,000.00 and may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
