Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, performs and coordinates a variety of professional and technical Human Resources functions, including recruiting, employee benefit programs, leave of absence administration, and various other human resources functions. Analyzes Human Resources data and assures effective administration of Company policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities.   • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
  • Administers a variety of Human Resources programs such as recruitment and retention, terminations, new hire orientation, benefits, leaves of absence compliance and administration under FMLA, CFRA, PFL, etc.
  • Coordinates interview process, including scheduling agendas for hiring managers, completing background inquiries, and generating the appropriate follow-up correspondence.
  • Receives and responds to inquiries from external customers, including job applicants, regarding employment opportunities and benefits overview information.
  • Receives and processes all new hire paperwork including I9's.
  • Works with Corporate Human Resources team on key initiatives and projects such as benefits changes, annual open enrollment, etc.
  • Assists employees and management with the interpretation and correct application of Company policies, procedures and programs while exercising the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Oversees the coordination of temporary staffing with external staffing vendors.
  • Participates in developing department goals and objectives; recommends new approaches, policies and procedures; works to automate and/or streamline all HR processes.
  • Maintains Human Resources files and information in accordance with Company policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Compiles, prepares and analyzes special and recurring Human Resources reports and statistics.
  • Administer and monitor the human resources database and reports.
  • Responds to initial requests for information for unemployment benefits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Human Resources Manager.


Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Human Resources/recruiting experience.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Broad knowledge of both state and federal labor laws.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and connect at all levels in the organization
  • Experience working with Excel, Oracle HRIS
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Bilingual Spanish


SALARY RANGE: $75,000/yr to $100,000/yr
