What you will doEmployee experience and support - Be a trusted, approachable first point of contact for employees and leaders on day-to-day HR questions.
- Support employee relations matters by gathering information, maintaining clear documentation and helping ensure fair, consistent follow-up.
- Help coordinate employee communications, recognition, wellness and engagement activities.
- Build positive relationships across the facility and contribute to an inclusive, respectful workplace.
Talent, onboarding and development - Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including posting roles, screening candidates, scheduling interviews and supporting selection.
- Create a welcoming onboarding experience by coordinating orientation, documentation and follow-up for new team members.
- Support performance and goal-setting processes, training coordination and employee development activities.
- Maintain recruitment, onboarding and training records and help identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.
HR operations and programs - Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR systems and personnel files.
- Support benefits administration, employee status changes, reporting and routine HR transactions.
- Assist with disability management and return-to-work documentation in partnership with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Prepare clear HR reports, tracking tools and briefing materials to support timely decisions.
Compliance and continuous improvement - Help apply HR policies, employment standards, health and safety requirements and company practices consistently.
- Support audits and documentation connected to HR, quality, environmental and safety management systems.
- Look for practical ways to simplify HR processes, strengthen service and improve the employee experience.
- Protect the confidentiality and integrity of employee information at all times.
What you bring - A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Approximately 3 or more years of progressive HR experience. Experience in a manufacturing or unionized environment is an asset.
- A working understanding of Ontario employment legislation and practical HR processes.
- Confidence handling sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment and professionalism.
- Strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills.
- A solutions-focused mindset, attention to detail and the ability to balance changing priorities.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and HR information systems. Experience with UKG Pro is an asset.
- A CHRP designation, or progress toward it, is an asset.
Compensation - Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 annually
- Variable Bonus potential
