Job Description: The People Services Generalist is responsible for supporting employees throughout the entire employment lifecycle, including benefits administration, HR compliance, employee relations, onboarding support, and HRIS management. This position requires excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities: - Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, retirement plans, COBRA, and wellness initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, leave programs, and general employment questions.
- Process employee changes such as promotions, transfers, terminations, and leaves of absence.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and perform regular data audits.
- Generate HR reports and assist with workforce reporting and compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including I-9, E-Verify, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, and other applicable laws.
- Support performance management processes by tracking review cycles and maintaining documentation.
- Assist with onboarding activities, new hire documentation, and orientation coverage when needed.
- Partner with HR leadership on employee relations matters and other sensitive personnel issues.
- Contribute to HR process improvements, employee engagement initiatives, and cross-functional projects.
- Process weekly payroll status changes and maintain organized personnel records.
- Track required certifications and training to ensure compliance.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience in a generalist or similar role.
- Previous benefits administration experience required.
- Hands-on experience with UKG Pro is required.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR compliance, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience supporting a high-volume workforce is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs), Microsoft Office Suite, and HRIS systems.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
