We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst to support and optimize our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. This role is responsible for providing high volume end user support, maintaining system health, and ensuring data integrity across key HR functional areas, with a primary focus on collaborating with our Talent Acquisition Team to enhance our use of Workday's Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

The Workday Analyst will:
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for recruiting and core HCM processes;
  • Act as a project manager for assigned HRIS projects and initiatives;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues;
  • Configure business processes;
  • Support report development;
  • Manage user security;
  • Assist with system upgrades, testing cycles, integrations, and enhancement deployments.


This position will work closely with HR stakeholders, IT partners, Talent Acquisition partners and subject matter experts from across Washington County to ensure Workday effectively supports operational and strategic HR and Recruiting needs.

Ideal Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
  • HR data management practices, including research, data collection, documentation methods, and Workday report writing to support data integrity and system reliability
  • Workday functional areas, especially HCM Core and Recruiting, with the ability to support configuration, business processes, and system troubleshooting
  • Interpreting federal, state, and local laws, regulations, labor contract provisions, and HR policies related
  • Skill in interviewing and collaborating with stakeholders to accurately gather information and translate business needs into effective system and process solutions
  • Ability to perform research and analysis to assess system issues, identify customer needs, and develop logical, data-driven recommendations
  • Skill in preparing clear narrative and statistical reports and communicating information effectively in individual and group settings
  • Ability to develop user guidance and training materials and clearly explain HRIS processes, workflows, and system functionality to staff with varying technical knowledge
  • Ability to independently manage HRIS projects and ensure assigned initiatives progress on schedule and align with organizational and stakeholder requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, human resources, or related field, and a minimum of two (2) years of hands on HRIS experience or applicable business systems including data management, input, ad hoc reporting, and system support; OR
  • Associate degree in business, technology, human resources or related field, and a minimum of four (4) years of hands on HRIS experience or applicable business systems including data management, input, ad hoc reporting, and system support; OR
  • Six (6) years of hands on HRIS experience or applicable business systems including data management, input, ad hoc reporting, and system support.
