Description

About the Role

SHINE Technologies is searching for an experienced, business-minded HR partner to join our Human Resources team. This is a visible role for someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution: advising leaders, strengthening teams, helping managers make solid people decisions, and build HR practices that scale with the business.

The role is built for someone who brings broad HR depth, strong judgment, and the ability to earn trust quickly. You'll partner closely with leaders and managers on employee relations, talent decisions, performance management, compensation and benefits questions, workforce planning, and policy application. Just as important, you'll help make hiring decisions that reflect both capability and cultural fit - identifying people who can do the work, contribute to the team, and grow with SHINE.

The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $130,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and leaders, translate business needs into practical people strategies and clear recommendations.
  • Partner in hiring decisions by helping leaders define success profiles, evaluate candidates for skills, values alignment, cultural contribution, leadership potential, and long-term fit.
  • Support employee relation matters with sound judgment, consistency, confidentiality, and a balanced understanding of business, employee, and compliance considerations.
  • Coach managers through performance management, feedback, documentation, employee development, and performance improvement situations.
  • Support succession planning, internal mobility, retention strategies, and leadership development efforts that strengthen the organization over time.
  • Advise on compensation and benefit matters, including promotions, compensation reviews, incentive programs, job leveling, and pay-related analysis and documentation.
  • Support policy application, compliance practices, reporting, audits, and HR documentation with a high level of accuracy and discretion.
  • Support organizational change initiatives - including restructuring, team development, workforce planning, role clarity, and change management - helping leaders and teams navigate growth and complexity with structure and clarity.

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates senior-level HR breadth and judgment. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A well-rounded HR professional with strong experience across employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation, benefits, compliance, and organizational development.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, compensation practices, policy administration, and organizational development strategies.
  • Someone with excellent judgment - the kind of person leaders trust when a situation is sensitive, ambiguous, or high stakes.
  • A partner who can assess talent beyond the resume and help managers make thoughtful, value-aligned hiring and people decisions.
  • Clear, confident communication. You can make complex HR issues understandable and turn them into practical options and recommendations.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical ability, and comfort working with data, documentation, approvals, and reporting.
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A steady, credible presence with the ability to build relationships across levels while maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and comfort using AI-enabled productivity tools.

Nice to Have
  • SPHR or similar senior HR certification.
  • Experience supporting a complex, regulated, technical, or high-growth environment. Familiarity with nuclear, manufacturing, biotech, or similarly governed industries is a plus.
  • Experience with compensation structures, incentive programs, job leveling, equity-related programs, HR reporting, or leadership-facing materials.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and HR data tools.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant's ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant's eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
