Human Resources Specialist

                 This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered

 

HR Specialist should provide administrative and operational support for HR programs, including maintaining HR databases, staffing and hiring records, preparing reports and HR documentation, coordinating meetings and logistics, supporting new employee onboarding (EOD), ensuring compliance with Title 5, FAH, and FAM regulations, and assisting with HR projects, audits, and management reporting.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Human Resources Specialist: $100,000 -$120,579

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.  Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

 

Human Resources Specialist Responsibilities Include: 

  • Provide data entry in support of HRO spreadsheets and databases.
  • Produce reports, presentation charts, and other HR documents.
  • Comply with all HR regulations such as Title 5 and the FAH and FAM. 
  • Provide telecommunications services and meeting scheduling and coordination equipment.
  • Attend meetings, assisting in the preparation of agendas, minutes, and other meeting materials, and distributing materials to meeting attendees.
  • Interface with the HRO move coordinator and HRO employees. These duties shall include coordinating with employees to ensure HRO project and logistical needs are provided.
  • Update contact information such as the electronic distribution lists for various HRO groups and projects.
  • Create, maintain, and track staffing and associated hiring files.
  • Collect data and prepare written products to the HRO to be submitted to EX and Bureau management, the Equal Employment Opportunity Office, and other organizations. Some examples of written products are HRO inputs to directives; developmental programs documentation; Interagency Agreements, MOUs, Details, various annual reports, and internal audits.  
  • Support New Employee EOD.

 

Human Resources Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

  • Associates Degree w/ 8 Years of Experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree W/ 4 Years of Experience
  • Requires SECRET Security Clearance 
  • Strong human resources or human capital management background 
  • Collaborative with a strong work ethic 
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills 
  • Excellent strategic and situational awareness 
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to fast paced environment with a high volume workload 
  • Proven ability to approach and interact with people of all backgrounds and the ability to work collaboratively with Staff at all levels 
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and workload management skills and abilities 
  • Preferred knowledge of data analytics  
  • Ability to work with highly confidential documents and data while ensuring discretion 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Excellent communication skills (English language written and spoken) 
  • Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software and SharePoint 
  • Ability to work independently to assess priorities. 
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
