Position Summary

Support the CWLNG Project by developing, coordinating, delivering, and documenting HSE training and orientation programs for Technip Energies personnel, subcontractors, and other project personnel. The HSE Trainer promotes a strong safety culture and ensures personnel receive appropriate project-specific HSE training before and during execution of assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver project HSE orientation and onboarding training for employees, subcontractors, visitors, and other applicable personnel.


  • Maintain and support implementation of the Project HSE Training Plan.


  • Maintain accurate training attendance, qualification, certification, and competency records.


  • Deliver HSE training covering project rules, hazard recognition, Stop Work Authority, incident and near-miss reporting, emergency response, PPE requirements, JSA/JHA requirements, and other project-specific HSE requirements.


  • Coordinate training requirements with HSE management, Construction, HR, subcontractors, and project supervision.


  • Verify required HSE training and certifications prior to personnel performing applicable work.


  • Identify training gaps and coordinate refresher, remedial, and specialized HSE training.


  • Develop and update training presentations, toolbox materials, HSE information packs, and campaign materials.


  • Support safety campaigns, stand-downs, lessons-learned sessions, and workforce engagement activities.


  • Assist subcontractors in understanding project HSE training expectations and monitor training compliance.


  • Support HSE communications for a multilingual and diverse construction workforce.


  • Monitor training completion rates and provide routine reports to Project HSE Management.


  • Support implementation and administration of applicable HSE programs and digital HSE systems.


  • Participate in field observations to evaluate whether training requirements are understood and effectively applied.


  • Support investigations and corrective actions where incidents identify training or competencies.


Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications
• Degree, diploma, or recognized qualification in HSE, Occupational Safety, Construction Safety, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience delivering HSE training in construction, industrial, petrochemical, LNG, oil and gas, or comparable major-project environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction requirements and applicable project HSE requirements.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with craft personnel, supervisors, subcontractors, and management.
• Experience maintaining training records and learning/training databases.
• Computer proficiency and ability to work with digital HSE systems.
• English fluency required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 principles.


  • Spanish-language capability.


  • OSHA 30, NCCER safety credentials, recognized trainer qualifications, or equivalent certifications.
