As a HSE Supervisor for Construction PCL Inc. in Montréal, Quebec, you'll have the opportunity to join a fast-growing team in the Québec market and help create meaningful impact by contributing to the delivery of outstanding projects. Here's how a HSE Supervisor for Construction PCL Inc. within Montreal district contributes to our team: Responsibilities - Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices; - Identifies, evaluates, develops and delivers project specific HSE training and assists with the development of district specific training; - Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects; - Builds processes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification; - Leads project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans; - Works with project teams to provide recommendations regarding corrective actions of systemic issues; - Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan; - Monitors and audits trade partner HSE performance; - Participates in on-site investigative processes and provides recommendations for and evaluating corrective actions taken; - Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders. - Supervises, coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field; - Holds safety designation; - 7 years' experience in a health and safety role in a related industry. 2 years' experience in a supervisory role is an asset; - Strong working knowledge of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes; - Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem-solve; - Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills; - Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships; - Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology; - Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
