About the Role:
As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Supervisor, you will supervise a team responsible for creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for clients.

This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead daily safety moments and weekly toolbox talks, tailoring content to be relevant to the account and audience
  • Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) submitted by technicians and engineers
  • Supervise high-risk work happening on site each day (electrical, work at heights, etc.)
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, including inspection of fall-protection and PPE equipment (harnesses, SRLs, scissor lift safety gear)
  • Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events; identify root causes and drive corrective actions
  • Track and report HSE metrics (hazard observations, toolbox talk counts, inspections, corrective actions, TRIR)
  • Develop and deliver safety training for employees, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills
  • Own playbooks and SOPs for the site, ensuring they stay current, complete, and effectively implemented
  • Prepare and present content for monthly and quarterly client business reviews (QBRs), pulling from hazard observation data
  • Support the annual internal QHSE audit, compiling documentation after operations completes the underlying work
  • Oversee the on-site soft services vendor (janitorial and landscaping)
  • Act as a resource and safety SME for internal customers and staff
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities that maintain or improve service quality
  • Resolve complex, day-to-day problems and identify practical approaches to safety and operational challenges
  • Lead by example and model behavior consistent with CBRE RISE values; build consensus across teams

What You'll Need:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years of HSE experience; supervisory/leadership experience a plus, not required
  • OSHA 30 (General Industry) required
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, incident investigation, risk assessment, and safety management systems
  • Experience inspecting fall-protection and rescue equipment (harnesses, SRLs, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Outgoing, confident communicator - comfortable engaging technicians directly, empowering them as the experts on their own work, and presenting to leadership and client stakeholders
  • Ability to influence all levels of an organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • NFPA-70E
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), CHMM, or similar certification
  • Experience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 audits
  • Experience working with Oregon OSHA and state-specific compliance
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial facilities (any industry background considered)
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste management, lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, electrical safety, and contractor safety

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk production, lab, and construction areas for extended periods
  • Ability to climb ladders, wear required PPE, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to respond to emergencies outside normal business hours when required
