Full Job Description
The Role

The HR Recruiting Specialist is responsible for partnering with the Sr Recruiter/Sourcing Team, and the Hiring Managers to support the full-cycle recruiting process of applicant screens, scheduling interviews, drafting offers & coordinating candidates through the hiring process.

In addition to recruiting responsibilities, the HR Recruiting Specialist supports employee onboarding, background checks, HRIS administration, and various other HR operational activities. This position is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys balancing recruiting with hands-on HR support in a fast-paced mechanical construction environment.

This role supports recruiting first & HR second. This individual enjoys finding talent, conducting candidate screens, coordinating hiring activity, and managing the candidate experience while also supporting onboarding, HR systems, and employee lifecycle administration. Experience with Microsoft D365 HRIS, ADP or Greenhouse ATS is highly desirable and will allow for quicker success in the role.

Responsibilities

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for non-union, professional positions.
  • Review resumes and applications, conduct initial candidate screenings, and assess qualifications against job requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Sr Recruiter/Sourcers, Hiring Managers & candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Draft and extend employment offers in partnership with HR leadership and hiring managers.
  • Manage candidate activity within the Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Post and maintain job postings across various recruiting platforms.
  • Engage in recruiting outreach activities as needed.
  • Track recruiting metrics and provide regular hiring status updates.

New Hire Processing & Onboarding
  • Process new hires and employee data accurately within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) HRIS and related systems.
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities including background checks, drug screenings.
  • Prepare onboarding documents and ensure completion of all required new hire paperwork.
  • Assist with I-9 verification and employment eligibility compliance.
  • Partner with coordination of the Day-1 new hire orientation.
  • Serve as a resource for new employees during the onboarding process, as needed.

HR Operations Support
  • Process new hires into D365 HRIS.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
  • Assist with employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR processes and policies.
  • Support HR compliance initiatives and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and HR projects as assigned.
  • Provide administrative support for employee programs, engagement activities, and training initiatives.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).

Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting in construction, engineering, manufacturing, skilled trades, or project-based environments.
  • Experience working with union and non-union workforces.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) HRIS.
  • Experience with ADP.
  • Experience with Greenhouse ATS.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and employees at all levels.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professionalism.
