Full Job Description
What you will do:

The Human Resources Productions Coordinator is responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and managers in accordance with Johnson Controls Manufacturing System (JCMS) principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. Performs a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with company policies of our manufacturing facility in Lubbock, Texas. This role will also promote John Controls values and winning behaviors initiatives.

How you will do it:
  • Establish self as a 'go to' HR person for managers and employees. Develop effective working relationships through on-site presence with local management and employees to influence and coach them on effective employment practices.
  • Work in partnership with local management on various employment matters which may include performance management issues, employee inquiries or complaints, as well as the implementation of company-wide HR activities such as: New Employee Orientation, Organizational Health Initiatives, Ethics/Integrity Training, Employee Programs, etc.
  • Drive recruitment activities for hourly positions following established process, in accordance with Affirmative Action requirements.
  • Process employment transactions (hires, transfers, equity adjustments, promotions, etc.) and acquire employee data reflecting employment trends/progress towards key initiatives and compliance expectations.
  • Stay current on state/federal employment laws and company policies. Share 'need to know' information with managers to help improve their supervisory effectiveness and to help foster a positive work environment.
  • Deploy training to inform or assist employees/managers on job related activities, policies, or standard processes.
  • Provide input and formulate process/policy improvement.
  • Implement HR programs, processes and procedures emanating from COEs or other HR leadership areas.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field, with a minimum of 2-5 years of HR experience Manufacturing environment preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with HRIS software and Microsoft Office
  • Professional HR Certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) a plus


Hiring Salary Range:

$67,900.00 - $101,900.00 USD Annual (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
