Full Job Description
HR Portfolio & Delivery Lead (People Operations Tranformation Leader)

Reports to Global Head of HR Operations • Troy, Michigan

YOUR ROLE

You keep the whole HR Operations portfolio moving. You hold the method and the cadence, the stakeholder governance, the budget and the benefits. You drive the major programs end to end so the team delivers as one.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The office: the delivery method, the cadence, and the single view of the portfolio and backlog
  • Stakeholder governance: setting up and preparing meaningful steering calls, so the right people stay aligned, resulting in decisions
  • The money: the HR budget and spend, and benefits realization, so every initiative earns its keep against a clear return
  • The delivery: the major cross-functional programs that build the operating model, the systems, and the data, run end to end
  • Change and communication: this team carries the communication function, so you drive change and communicate the programs to the business alongside delivery
  • Cross-functional dependencies and the release calendar, so work sequences cleanly and nothing collides at critical milestones
  • Capacity and resourcing across a small permanent core and a flexible delivery arm, flexing fixed-term and core resources to hit each goal within budget, time, and quality
  • Progress and effectiveness reporting that is early and honest
  • You will bring order to many moving parts, on a live estate under real time pressure
  • You will keep the plan honest, the budget visible, and the risks in the open
  • You will set up and prepare the steering calls that keep senior stakeholders aligned and decisions moving
  • You will drive change and communication alongside the programs, not as an afterthought
  • You will flex core and fixed-term resources to deliver within budget, time, and quality
  • You will coordinate senior peers without holding their reporting line, and measure yourself by whether the whole delivers

YOUR BACKGROUND
  • Strong delivery discipline: planning, dependencies, risk, cadence, and benefits tracking
  • A strong hand with stakeholders: you set up and prepare steering calls that are worth people's time and end in decisions
  • Skill at flexing a mix of core and fixed-term resources to hit a goal within budget, time, and quality
  • Change and communication capability, or the judgment to direct it, since this team carries that function
  • Comfort owning a budget and holding initiatives to a clear return, and the judgment to protect priorities and surface problems early
  • Comfort coordinating senior, dispersed people without authority over them; steady in ambiguity, calm under load

QUALIFICATIONS
  • About 8+ years in program or portfolio delivery, ideally in HR, systems, or operations change.
  • Portfolio and delivery tooling
  • HR or systems program experience
  • Change-management and communication experience
  • A recognized continuous-improvement or delivery method
  • Experience owning a budget and a benefits case preferred
  • Carve-out experience preferred
  • English language fluency. Bilingual skills, a plus
  • Local resident of Metro Detroit with ability to work on site
  • Valid U.S. Passport with ability to travel globally

DELIVERABLES IN YEAR ONE
  • One clear portfolio view and a single shared backlog in use
  • A cadence of meaningful steering calls that keep stakeholders aligned and decisions moving
  • The major programs delivered to plan, with dependencies and the release calendar managed so critical milestones are protected
  • The HR budget under control and visible, with benefits tracked against the return each initiative promised
  • Change and communication running alongside the programs, so the business understands what is changing and why
  • One joint plan with IT for the shared programs, so both run off one calendar and one governance

YOUR BENEFITS AT VERSIGENT:
  • Private health care effective day 1 of employment
  • Life and accident insurance
  • Paid Time Off (Holidays, Vacation, Designated time off, Parental leave)
  • Relocation assistance may be available
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Discount programs with various manufacturers and retailers
  • Recognition for innovation and excellence
  • Opportunities to give back to the community
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Adoption Assistance
  • Fertility Coverage
