HR Manager

Location: Pasadena, TX

Position Overview

The HR Manager will lead the day-to-day Human Resources function for a growing organization of approximately 400 employees. This role will partner closely with leadership to support operational HR needs while ensuring compliance, consistency, and a strong employee experience across the organization.

This is a hands-on HR leadership role responsible for managing employee relations, overseeing payroll operations, administering benefits programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and managers while ensuring HR processes are executed effectively across the company.

Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership & Strategy
  • Serve as the primary HR leader supporting a workforce of approximately 400 employees.
  • Partner with leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives and organizational growth.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, and workplace policies.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices that support operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead HR initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.

Employee Relations & Talent Management
  • Manage employee relations matters including performance issues, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
  • Partner with managers to support hiring decisions, employee development, and performance management processes.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and fair employment practices across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for managers and employees on HR-related matters.

Payroll & HR Operations
  • Oversee payroll operations managed by two payroll specialists, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.
  • Partner with finance to ensure payroll compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain HR data integrity and reporting related to employee records and workforce metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes, and operational efficiencies.

  • Manage the company's benefits programs, including vendor coordination and employee communication.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process and ensure employees understand available benefits offerings.
  • Support compliance activities related to benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR regulatory requirements.
