Full Job Description
The HR Learning & Development Manager seeks to build the best internal learning and development (L&D) program possible that promotes company values, strengthens team member skills and leadership, and accelerates performance to deliver business results. We are looking for an innovative, forward-thinking leader that can drive the strategy behind design and implementation continuing through effective and influential execution. This role will design a program structure that aligns with the best-in-industry standards and develop measures for ROI/effectiveness. Programming will include interactive e-learnings and other materials to develop courses and learning paths, including both online and in-person new hire onboarding, leadership development, and team member upskilling ensuring top performance and utilization of people resources.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Drive strategy of L&D programming to ensure best-in-industry standards
  • Collaborate with leaders to establish L&D strategies that optimize individual and team performance to drive business results
  • Lead programs and systems according to defined strategy and plan, including creation and delivery of key deliverables, reports, communications, learning materials and other resources
  • Facilitate/host influential in-person workshops and training sessions
  • Own annual program calendar, establish best cadence for training events, and ensure proper communication and awareness of programs and calendar to all team members
  • Establish, utilize and track company budget and spending related to learning and development programs and resources
  • Manage and oversee eLearning platform and program related training and reporting for department metrics
  • Consolidate and build out all training material/videos in a central location/usable format and update new material as changes are made, to develop company-wide training library
  • Create and maintain an onboarding training path for each department and position that support organizational goal accomplishments, and oversee appropriate administration of training paths to new and existing team members
  • Create and maintain manager and leadership training paths including both online eLearnings and in-person sessions with credible presenters
  • Direct other team members as appropriate to gain support in administering, coordinating, and tracking programs as needed
  • Evaluate the impact of training material and sessions, review surveys for feedback, and stay up to date on industry trends to drive continuous improvements in the effectiveness of our materials
  • Proactively seek feedback and continuous improvement opportunities for programs from both internal and external resources

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:
  • Advanced degree or equivalent formal training/certifications and experience required
  • Technical savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office; experience within database systems a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation.

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, team member must be able to:
  • Work and commute in all weather conditions
  • Able to effectively communicate, listen, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information
  • Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking
  • Move about inside the office to access standard office equipment
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as keyboard, copy machine and printer
  • Remain in a stationary position 50%+ of the time, alternating between sitting and standing
  • Ability to move and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Drive between company locations and/or vendors or suppliers as needed while on job
