HR Engagement Specialist

Reporting to the Director, EDI, Recruitment and Employee Engagement, you will join a team that shapes the employee experience and supports meaningful work, strong leadership and a thriving workplace culture. This team plays a critical role in maintaining the Bank's reputation as a top employer and inclusive workplace, and developing HR programs and services with the experience of employees and leaders in mind.

What you will do
  • advise and support HR leaders and partners on employee engagement and change management.
  • develop and implement change approaches and related communication to support the roll out of HR initiatives Bank wide.
  • maintain trusted partnerships across HR, the Bank and external networks to inform engagement strategies, employee surveying approaches, and change adoption.
  • carry out research and benchmarking activities to generate insights that inform HR policies and program design, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • design, implement and analyze employee surveys, which includes producing dashboards, presentations and recommendations to help inform decisions across HR and the Bank.
  • support HR colleagues in designing and facilitating engagement activities with leaders and employees as part of the development of HR initiatives.


What you need to succeed

You are a collaborative, insight-driven professional who turns priorities into practical plans, clear messages and meaningful deliverables. You have practical knowledge of organizational change management, stakeholder engagement and survey methodology, with the ability to apply these approaches in a people-focused way.

You are also:
  • strategic and organizationally savvy, with an understanding of business priorities, interdependencies and context that helps ensure work is relevant, aligned and impactful.
  • skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships across HR and the organization to understand needs, foster collaboration, align priorities and deliver integrated solutions.
  • a strong analytical thinker who can transform HR data into meaningful insights, dashboards and recommendations.
  • a clear and persuasive communicator who can tailor messages to different audiences and influence decisions, initiatives and change.
  • experienced using digital tools and systems (e.g. survey platforms, HR systems, Power BI and collaboration tools), along with AI and automation, to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • able to work independently, manage competing priorities, make timely decisions and identify practical solutions to evolving challenges.


Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of a variety of change management approaches (e.g. ADKAR)
  • A professional change management designation (e.g. Prosci)
  • Education, training, or certification in survey methodology, statistics, or program evaluation


Your education and experience
The position requires post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (such as business administration, behavioural science, data analysis or data visualization, HR, communications, change management, organizational behaviour) with relevant experience in organizational change management, employee engagement, surveying or similar data analysis, measuring organizational transformations, or similar work.

We may also consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language requirementThe Bank's work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada's official languages - English and French. The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional). Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture.   • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $111,055 to $130,650 (job grade 17)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
