HR Director

Summary:

The HR Director will lead and manage the human resources function across multiple manufacturing sites supporting several business units. This strategic and operational role is responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, driving workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, employee relations and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong experience in multi-site HR operations, labor relations, and organizational development in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and HR organizational priorities.
• Partner with site leadership to support operational excellence and workforce effectiveness.
• Build strong partnership and trust with site leadership to accomplish company goals.
• Lead change management initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Talent Management
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies across sites and partner with Talent COE's to execute those strategies.
• Manage temporary labor strategies and develop agency relationships.
• Drive succession planning and leadership development in alignment with organizational leadership competencies.
• Ensure consistent performance management practices and build capability in Management team to hold people accountable.

Employee Relations & Compliance
• Serve as a key resource for investigating and resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
• Maintain a union free environment with effective employee relation strategies and training for management.

HR Operations
• Standardize HR processes and systems across locations.
• Monitor HR metrics and KPIs to inform decision-making.
• Manage local HR budget and resource allocation.
• Partner closely with Corporate COE's to ensure HR efficiency and effectiveness.

Culture & Engagement
• Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives and feedback programs.
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Will supervise 1-2 direct reports

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a role where you have worked with company leadership and managed a team
• Experience in manufacturing environments is required
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies and programs
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices and organization development
• PHR or SPHR certification a plus

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to speak Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders and other stakeholders at all levels

Travel:

Travel to site locations within the region as needed

Work Conditions

Hybrid remote work with 2 days working from home after onboarding is completed.

Physical Requirements:

• Work environment is normally in an office setting.
• Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

Quality/Safety Responsibilities:
