Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Business Partner for North America to join our office in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. You will act as a Business Partner and coach to leadership while managing day-to-day HR operations to ensure they align with Natus Sensory's organizational goals. As a part of a global HR Business Partner Team, you will be responsible for USA and Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • U.S. Labor Law & Compliance: Ensure all people practices comply with federal and state regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving laws, including pay transparency and AI-related employment rules.
  • Canada Labor Law & Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving laws, including pay transparency and AI-related employment rules.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders and managers to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business efficiency and workforce planning.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Manage complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on performance management and corrective actions.
  • Policy & Process: Assist in the development, interpretation, and implementation of HR policies and procedures across the organization.


Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: +7 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably as an HR Business Partner in a mid-sized company.
  • Legal Expertise: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of US and Canadian labour and employment laws.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from entry-level staff to executive leadership.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

At Natus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range.
