Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to managers and leadership in the Austin office, providing proactive and practical advice on all people-related matters
- Support the full employee lifecycle from a strategic HR perspective, including workforce planning, performance management, development, and retention
- Own US immigration and visa sponsorship, managing cases and strategy with external counsel
- Vendor manager and escalation point regarding our PEO relationship
- Lead and embed performance management processes, including goal-setting frameworks, feedback cycles, talent reviews, and performance improvement plans
- Advise on complex employee relations cases, applying strong knowledge of US employment law and supporting international considerations where relevant
- Ensure consistent application and continuous improvement of HR policies, frameworks, and processes, tailoring global standards to the US context
- Translate business needs into effective people strategies, supporting organizational design, change initiatives, and the continued growth of the Austin office
- Use HR data and insights to support decision-making, identify trends, and provide clear recommendations
- Contribute to and lead HR projects across engagement, performance, capability building, and organizational development, partnering closely with the global HR team in Amsterdam
- Build strong, credible relationships across the business and act as a visible and influential HR partner
Key Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role with strong exposure to partnering with managers and leadership teams
- Strong working knowledge of US employment law; experience in international or multi-jurisdictional environments is a plus
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or international environment (e.g. scale-up, financial services, or similar)
- Strong experience in performance management, employee relations, and organizational development
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong understanding of how HR supports organizational effectiveness and performance
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge and influence at all levels
