Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated HR AI & Automation Manager to transform how our People/HR team operates through the use of AI and automation. This role will identify, design, and implement AI-powered solutions across the employee lifecycle-from onboarding and scheduling to employee support and internal workflows.

This individual will work at the intersection of HR, operations, and technology, building scalable systems and AI agents that improve efficiency, employee experience, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Implementation
- Identify high-impact opportunities to apply AI within HR (onboarding, scheduling, employee support, training, recruiting coordination, etc.)
- Evaluate and implement AI tools (e.g., copilots, workflow automation, chatbots, agent frameworks)
- Partner with HR leadership to prioritize and roadmap automation initiatives

Workflow Automation
- Design and deploy automated workflows across HR processes (e.g., onboarding flows, interview scheduling, employee lifecycle communications)
- Integrate systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS, communication tools) to reduce manual work
- Continuously optimize processes using data and feedback

AI Agent Development
- Build and deploy AI agents to support specific roles (e.g., recruiter assistant, onboarding concierge, HR help desk bot)
- Define use cases, prompts, guardrails, and performance metrics for agents
- Monitor and improve agent performance over time

HR Technology & Systems
- Own and optimize the HR tech stack, ensuring tools are leveraged effectively
- Serve as a bridge between HR, IT, and external vendors
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in AI implementations

Change Management & Enablement
- Train HR team members on new AI tools and workflows

Qualifications

- 4-8+ years in HR operations, People Ops, HR technology, or business process automation
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, copilots, automation platforms like Zapier/Make, or agent frameworks)
- Experience implementing or managing HR systems (HRIS, ATS, etc.)
- Strong process design and systems thinking mindset
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with HR, IT, and leadership

Nice to Have:
- Experience building AI agents or automations using APIs or low-code tools
- Background in People Analytics or data-driven decision making
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and workflow orchestration
