HP Z Mobile Workstations Product Planning Manager
Role OverviewThe HP Z Mobile Workstations Product Planning Manager is an essential role within the Workstations Product Planning organization and is dedicated to creating innovative mobile computing solutions for our high-performance compute customers. As a Mobile Workstations Product Planner, you will define the vision, roadmap, and product requirements for a future mobile workstation category that empowers specialized professionals to achieve their best work through seamless, high-performance mobile computing across their workflows
This position requires advanced technical skills, strong business acumen, and a deep understanding of customer workflows and pain points across PD&M, AEC, and M&E vertical segments along with an understanding of how AI is reshaping these industries. The ideal candidate must demonstrate expertise in guiding an organization's future product strategy, aligning customer requirements with market trends and emerging technology innovations
This position is located in Houston, TX or Fort Collins, CO.
Key responsibilities for this role include:- Develop strong customer relationships and a deep understanding of their end-to-end experience journey, serving as a champion for their needs and pain points across the organization
- Educate and advocate across teams on the future product category's competitive landscape by creating insights from market data analysis, customer research, channel/sales feedback, and competitive pricing and feature studies.
- Define, articulate, and execute future product strategy through the commercial planning process, ensuring alignment with ACS's overall strategic goals for next-gen mobile workstations.
- Partner with technology vendors, ISVs, and ODMs to identify and deliver new customer and business value opportunities across mobile workstations.
- Collaborate with marketing, category, and sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and sales enablement materials.
- Define and track objectives and key results metrics, analyzing current generation product adoption and customer experience data to generate insights that continuously inform and enhance future product roadmaps
Experience, knowledge & skills:- Proven experience (7+ years) as a Technical Product Manager or similar role in product planning and/or lifecycle management
- Ability to think strategically, balancing a broad range of internal and external factors when identifying opportunities and proposing solutions
- Strong business judgment, investigative, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Able to distil complex concepts into easily understood insights for executive consumption, direction or decision-making
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business or related discipline
- MS or MBA preferred
The pay range for this role is
$130,700 to
$205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
