Position Details:
Hartford Hospital is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their energetic hospitalist team. The Hospitalist program is large, vibrant, and growing! The successful Advanced Practitioner will provide full-spectrum inpatient care, including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status. New and experienced providers are met with a comprehensive orientation provided by our exceptional Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists.

Role: Open to Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners
Location: 80 Seymour Street, Hartford, 06102
Setting: Inpatient medicine, hospitalist
Schedule: Full-time days, flexible schedule! Premium differentials offered.
Call schedule: No call

Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants Role Scope:
Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Advanced Practitioners perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
Advanced Practitioners provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider's practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.
