Position Highlights (Hospitalist Job - Connecticut) - Hospital Type: 520-bed academic medical center
- Location: Bridgeport, CT (Fairfield County, coastal Connecticut)
- Schedule: ~17-19 shifts per month (non-block scheduling model)
- Patient Census: Average 14-16 patients per shift (cap ~18-20)
- ICU Model: Closed ICU with 24/7 intensivist coverage
- Procedures & Coverage:
- Hospitalists manage rapid responses
- Intensivists lead code situations and ICU care
- Team Structure: 25+ Hospitalists in a collaborative, team-based model
- Support: Strong case management, nursing, and specialty backup
