Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Hospital Medicine

12-Hour Shifts

Location: Central Maine Medical Center - Lewiston, Maine

Overview

Prime Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Hospital Medicine team at Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, Maine.

This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with hospitalists and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality inpatient care to adult patients in a supportive hospital environment. The APP will work 12-hour shifts providing clinical management, coordination of care, and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examinations and ongoing patient assessments for hospitalized patients.
  • Collaborate with hospitalists to develop and manage inpatient treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory studies.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Support hospital quality initiatives and ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and safety standards.
