DESCRIPTIONUnder direction, the technician is responsible for pre- and post- analytical activities. This includes both direct supervision of staff and problem solving related to laboratory testing operations. Responsibility to review, clarify and organize all lab requests, use laboratory information systems to receive, accession, process, distribute specimens and bill samples and tests to in-house and/or reference laboratories as appropriate. Independently check all requisitions to ensure completeness of order and follows up with CLS staff if problems are discovered. Provide customer support by correctly and quickly responding to telephone calls for information related to pre-analytical activities and analytical methodologies, and post analytical methodologies, and post analytical results reporting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Previous leadership experience in a directly related laboratory position.
- A minimum of a two-year degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Previous experience in a large complex healthcare environment.
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in science background.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within 6 months of hire date.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $72,370 - $90,055 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $34.66 - $43.13
