Qualifications

• Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years in chaplaincy, ideally within hospice or palliative care.
• Knowledge of diverse spiritual and cultural practices related to end-of-life.
• Certification from a recognized chaplaincy organization is advantageous.
• At least one year of hospice experience is necessary.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate spiritual and emotional support to patients and families.
• Conduct and document spiritual assessments for tailored care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate spiritual support into care plans.
• Offer bereavement counseling to families during and after patient death.
• Plan and lead memorial services or rituals as requested by families.
• Educate staff on spiritual care practices and cultural diversity.
• Connect patients with community faith resources as needed.
• Maintain confidential records of care and interactions.
