Qualifications

• Passion for literature and teaching English to diverse high school students.
• Bachelor's degree in English (master's degree preferred, not required).
• Previous high school English teaching experience (preferred, not required).
• Strong foundation in literature, language, and writing.
• Enthusiasm for collaboration and self-reflection in teaching practices.
• Commitment to support Jesuit values and practices around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Teach four sections of high school English covering multiple grade levels/courses.
• Serve as a mentor to students, fostering personal and academic growth.
• Fulfill assigned prefecting roles within the school community.
• Develop engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
• Reflect on and adapt teaching methods to improve student learning.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance departmental initiatives.
