Interviews will take place on the week of September 7, 2026.Job offers will take place the week of September 21, 2026.Future Salary Increases:** June 2027 - 3% increase to base pay (3% Across-the- Board)As an HHSA Contract Auditor, you will plan, organize, direct and perform a wide variety of professional auditing duties and advisory services related to Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) service contracts. You will review and analyze financial records, management controls, policies, procedures, and reports. You will test claims, analyze contracts, validate financial documents, and assess the contractors' compliance to applicable laws and funding source regulations.
Ideal CandidateAn ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field such as accounting, auditing, finance, public administration or business administration and previous experience in auditing/accounting and some professional training in the field. Additionally, individuals applying for this position should demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and follow directions. They need to have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate strong reasoning and writing abilities, and show a firm basic understanding of auditing and accounting. They should possess the ability to analyze contract documents and research current laws and funding regulations to properly support findings/recommendations. Furthermore, an ideal candidate should summarize information concisely, pay strict attention to detail, and work well either independently or as part of a team.

The starting salary for this position will be based on the candidate's qualifications at time of appointment.

- Job Offer and Background Process begins after interviews are completed.

Minimum Qualifications- A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related field, AND,
- One (1) year of professional experience performing financial, performance, compliance, or information systems audits.
Note: Possession of one or more of the following certifications is highly desirable: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Internal Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Financial Manager (CFM).
