Full Job Description
Lead Technologist - full-time, days

Performs duties as a technical specialist in their areas of expertise. Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures, acting as technical expert and resource technologist. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques with the aid of automated, semi-automated, and/or manual methodologies. Develops, revises, and implements technical procedures in area of expertise with assistance and approval of Supervisor or Manager. Oversees daily operations of the expertise area.

Description:
  • Serves as a resource for assigned areas of expertise and provides technical support to staff. Assists in researching new tests, performs instrument evaluations, writes standard operating procedures, and maintains supplies for their areas of expertise. Resolve technical problems and troubleshoots when test systems are not within established levels of performance.
  • Oversees, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reviews quality control for section. Maintains organized instrumentation logs to ensure accuracy of test results.
  • Provides input into technical decisions, acts as expert for data collection and gathers monthly QC statistics for medical director/designee review.
  • Oversees the lab section quality control program and ensures all CAP and manufacturer's

Pay Range:
$40.45 - $54.43

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
