Qualifications

• 5+ years of Heavy Highway Superintendent experience preferred
• Proven experience managing DOT highway projects
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, concrete, paving, utilities, and traffic control
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards, OSHA 30-hour certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations on heavy highway and roadway construction projects
• Manage crews, subcontractors, and equipment to maximize productivity
• Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations
• Coordinate professionally with Project Managers, Engineers, Surveyors, and inspectors
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Plan work activities, manpower, equipment, and material needs
• Conduct daily safety meetings and promote a culture of safety
• Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining production goals
• Use a computer to maintain project documentation and daily reports
