Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in continuous training to keep skills current and relevant.

Job Description

FLINT is seeking Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician-Off Road Certification for a permanent position in Fort McMurray, AB starting August/September 2026. In this position, you will enjoy a 7/7 schedule, camp accommodations, flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton, and benefits after 300+ hours worked.

Qualifications
  • Valid Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification-Off Road required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician.
  • Must have Heavy Equipment Technician experience on Haul Truck CAT 793+.
  • Large off-highway Caterpillar, Liebherr, Komatsu or Hitachi mining equipment experience.
  • Oil Sands or sizeable open pit mining equipment experience.
  • Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements:
    • CSO (Common Safety Orientation from Energy Safety Canada)
  • Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with 3-year driver abstracts.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
