Responsibilities

  • Carry out ongoing and specific maintenance on vehicles.
  • Inspect and diagnose servicing needs of vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete and manage repair orders effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and repair both light and heavy-duty vehicles.

About the Job

Clean Harbors Corunna, Ontario is looking for a Licensed Heavy Duty Maintenance Mechanic to join their safety conscious team!

This position will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all company owned fleet( trucks, tractors, trailers, heavy equipment, etc)

Job Type:

  • Permanent (full-time) position


Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
  • Perform thorough inspections (CVIP) of equipment and identify required repairs.
  • Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
  • Complete repair orders.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles.
  • Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
  • Complete warranty information.
  • Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
  • Carry out housekeeping duties.
  • Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.


Qualifications:

  • Licensed/Journeyman Truck and Coach Technician.
  • 3+ years' experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
  • Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
  • Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
  • Ability to use (J Pro) diagnostic software
  • Class 5 Driver's License required.
