Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery. The candidate will have a strong academic background, and expertise in heart and lung procurement, organ assessment and resuscitation, ex-vivo organ perfusion, ECMO cannulation and management, as well as all aspects of Cardiovascular Surgery.
Cardiac surgical experience preferred but not required, preferably as an advanced trainee or staff surgeon with strong surgical skills. Other requirements include:
- Expertise in lung and heart procurement and transplantation
- Expertise in ex-vivo heart and lung perfusion and normothermic regional perfusion
- Expertise in ECMO cannulation and management
- Eligible for Minnesota State Licensure
- Interest and ability in education, simulation, and research would be valued
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across specialties, disciplines, and with all levels of staff.
Qualifications- Board-certified / eligible in Cardiovascular Surgery
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota
