ResponsibilitiesPeraton has an immediate need for a Healthcare Solutions Architect to support growth opportunities within the Health, State & Local Sector, with a primary focus on Federal Health IT.
As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as a core member of the capture team, responsible for designing innovative and cost‑effective mission‑focused solutions across Federal Health agencies. Solutions may include health data integration and interoperability, clinical and public health systems modernization, health analytics, cloud migration, applications, and infrastructure approaches that deliver measurable mission outcomes for our customers while advancing Peraton’s health portfolio.
This position will be onsite in Reston VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Business Development, delivery teams, and Corporate Offerings to shape the solution strategy and approach, aligning to Federal Health customer objectives and mission needs. Integrate industry best practices and emerging technologies in health IT, data modernization, and interoperability to develop value propositions that address Government health challenges.
- Lead the technical solution development, competitive pricing inputs, and business case alignment for Peraton’s solutions to Federal Health proposal requirements, ensuring compliance and mission relevance.
- Collaborate with Peraton’s business and technology leaders to define solution architecture, mission value, performance objectives, and key technical parameters prior to costing activities.
- Present and clearly articulate all aspects of the solution during governance reviews with senior leadership, identifying technical and mission‑related risks and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Health IT partners, technology providers, and teaming organizations to deliver high‑quality, integrated solutions and compelling value propositions.
- Demonstrate understanding of Federal Health operational environments—including CMS, NIH, FDA, CDC, HRSA, VA, and other agencies—and position Peraton to deliver end‑to‑end mission value supporting improved health outcomes, program performance, and modernization initiatives.
- Engage with customers to gain insights into mission priorities and emerging needs; support shaping activities by articulating how Peraton’s health IT capabilities, data platforms, and modernization approaches address those needs.
- Tailor messaging of solution benefits to strategic and tactical stakeholders within customer organizations. Translate innovation, R&D, and emerging technologies (AI/ML, health data platforms, interoperability frameworks) into differentiated health-focused solutions.
- Maintain a mature network of contacts within the Federal Health community, integrators, OEMs, and mission partners.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing successful technical solutions for large, complex opportunities and proposal submissions for US Federal and/or State/Local Government customers, ideally within health IT, health data, or health mission support.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with SMEs, program managers, proposal teams, and business development in complex and often ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate across a wide range of formats and with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted customer and partner relationships and communicate effectively with senior and executive-level leaders.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge across mission-focused technology services and solutions, with strong customer focus; experience in health IT, data platforms, cloud modernization, or health analytics is highly valuable.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, computer science, health informatics, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting Federal Health agencies such as CMS, NIH, FDA, CDC, VA, or HRSA
Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
