Our Decision Science practitioners use Industry & Functional domain expertise along with agentic AI knowledge to design, develop and reinvent processes with AI to drive efficiency and growth. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end data science projects, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies to create decision-making systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to deliver innovative solutions aligned with Accenture's commitment to driving 360° value for clients.
This is an industry-specific role focused on the healthcare provider domain-designing AI solutions that work inside the realities of the electronic medical record and clinical workflows, and helping define the future of healthcare interoperability. As a Healthcare Provider AI Decision Science Manager, you will:
- Lead the delivery of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics initiatives / programs for healthcare provider clients
- Manage teams both onshore and offshore across Data Science & Machine Learning
- Work forward-deployed with provider clients, co-creating solutions using our platforms and AI tooling to move from idea to working solution in days and weeks.
- Understand and be able to bridge between business and technical domains (for both internal and external purpose)
- Engage with business and analytics stakeholders to build and maintain relationships
- Lead the sales process, originate, and lead sales solutioning for Data Science & Machine Learning related opportunities.
- Develop and customize Data Science / Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence / Analytics models and solutions for specific business problems within an industry or function.
- Help scope provider-focused AI programs, identifying where AI can automate or augment clinical and administrative work across documentation, orders, and care coordination.
- Collaborate across Accenture's network and partner with strategy, consulting, and tech teams in the sales and delivery processes.
- Develop Data Science/Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence talent within the organization.
- Identify AI use cases in an industry and/or function by understanding an organization's goals and areas of need, developing the business case, determining ROI, and creating the transformation roadmap.
- Contribute to the technical architecture of AI programs in provider environments-designing around the EMR / EHR and healthcare interoperability standards-and help reimagine the future way of working for clinical and operational teams rather than simply automating today's processes.
- Advise organization on adoption of responsible AI solutions and governance by training users on new processes, maintaining solutions, tracking results, and communicating the realized value.
Ability to travel up to 80%; travel as needed based on client expectations.
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or Advanced Analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of how the EMR / EHR works and how the health record is structured, with familiarity with provider workflows such as clinical documentation, orders, and care coordination.
- Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and exchange (e.g., FHIR, HL7, and the broader exchange landscape).
- Hands-on experience using Claude or an equivalent frontier AI tool to do the work.
- 5+ years of experience building decision-based frameworks and models to drive insights.
- 5+ years of high value consulting experience or equivalent internal consulting experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading workstreams and meeting deadlines.
- 5+ years of large-scale delivery experience with minimal help.
- Proven track record of delivering successful AI or data science projects and teams.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AI Native and cloud platforms (e.g., Open AI, Anthropic, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of agent-based modeling, reinforcement learning, and autonomous systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience in sales and business development.
- Strong program management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Driven and entrepreneurial: ability to originate and shape new deals, lead in client conversations, and go to market activities.
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
- Excellent leadership and people skills: proven ability to build effective teams and foster a collaborative and inclusive environment and proven ability to build strong client relationships.
- You have experience bringing innovative ideas to projects.
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience delivering AI or technology programs inside provider organizations.
