Position OverviewWe are seeking a Healthcare Ontologist to develop and manage biomedical ontologies, taxonomies, semantic frameworks, and controlled vocabularies supporting healthcare, research, and regulatory initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in semantic reasoning, ontology alignment, and AI-driven healthcare knowledge representation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage healthcare and biomedical ontologies.
- Design semantic frameworks and controlled vocabularies.
- Support healthcare AI systems and knowledge representation initiatives.
- Perform ontology alignment and semantic reasoning activities.
- Collaborate with research, clinical, and technical teams.
- Support graph database and semantic technology implementations.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards.
- Assist in semantic interoperability and metadata governance initiatives.
- Maintain ontology documentation and taxonomy standards.
Required Qualifications- Master's degree preferred in Biomedical Informatics, Health Informatics, Library Science, Information Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in ontology development and semantic technologies.
- Experience supporting healthcare or regulatory environments.
- Strong understanding of biomedical taxonomies and semantic frameworks.
