Healthcare Communications Consultant - Medicare & Commercial Health PlansLocation: Remote Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the roleAs a Healthcare Communications Consultant, you will make an impact by helping health plans develop and optimize member communications across Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other government-sponsored programs. You will partner with clients and internal teams to deliver compliant, effective, and engaging communications that enhance member experiences and support business objectives.
In this role, you will:- Advise clients on healthcare payer communications, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Commercial HMO/PPO plans.
- Support complex member correspondence, enrollment communications, and regulatory notices.
- Analyze business requirements and recommend communication solutions aligned with industry and compliance standards.
- Lead communication initiatives related to Open Enrollment (OE) and Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).
- Manage multiple projects while coordinating with clients, internal teams, and offshore resources.
- Support reporting, communication governance, quality assurance, and process improvement efforts.

What you need to have to be considered- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Healthcare Administration, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other health plan products.
- Experience supporting healthcare member communications and enrollment-related initiatives.
- Expertise in communication strategy, reporting, and regulatory communication requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirements-gathering skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
These will help you stand out- Experience with Enrollment Administration Manager (EAM).
- Experience supporting Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment and Annual Enrollment programs.
- Knowledge of TriZetto solutions and healthcare payer operations.
- Strong editing, proofreading, and content development skills.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Basic knowledge of XML, SQL, and Oracle.
- Experience developing client proposals, estimates, and consulting deliverables.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $93,000 - $109,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
