Overview

Nakupuna Solutions seeks a Health Systems Strengthening Advisor in the Office of Program Transition and Supply Chain (PTSC), which leads the Department of State’s health systems transition planning on behalf of the Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD). In this capacity, PTSC develops and oversees the execution of bilateral transition MOUs and country implementation plans, establishing requirements, standards, targets, and timelines, and monitoring progress against those plans. PTSC also serves as GHSD’s center of excellence for private-sector engagement, private-finance mobilization, and economic analysis. In addition, the office oversees the global supply chain contract, ensuring the safe, timely, and effective delivery of HIV, malaria, and TB commodities to more than 70 countries on a regular and ongoing basis.

 

This position will ensure that country governments that receive health foreign assistance from the U.S. government formulate and implement operational plans that sustainably maintain core health system functionality. Additionally, to facilitate the effective integration of donor-supported activities into national governance, service delivery, information systems, and supply chain structures.

Responsibilities

Deliverables:

  • Technical guidance documents for integrating donor-supported activities
  • Monitoring and evaluation reports on integration outcomes
  • Stakeholder engagement and coordination summaries
  • Progress reports highlighting trends in capacity of health systems across partner countries
  • Reports capturing key outcomes, decisions, and follow-up actions from engagements with partner governments, donors, and implementing partners

  • Coordinate with government counterparts and partners to facilitate smooth transitions
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of integration efforts and recommend improvements
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and technical guidance documents for stakeholders
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for health systems strengthening efforts
Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of health financing, health systems strengthening, and health systems integration.
  • Experience with program transition and sustainability planning
  • Strong understanding of national governance, service delivery, health information systems, and supply chain management
  • Ability to coordinate with government, donor, and implementing partners
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills
  • Analytical skills for assessing integration and sustainability outcomes

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Public Health, Global Health, International Development, Medicine, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in health systems strengthening, global health, medicine, and/or integration of donor-supported activities into national systems

Location:

  • Washington, DC

Clearance: Secret clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen. 

 

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $140,500 - $165,500. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies' total compensation package for employees.
