Type of Employment: Temporary Hourly FT long-assignment (100%) x 1 Management/Non Union PositionPosting Closing Date: 16-Aug-26Reporting to the Health Services Director, the Health Services Manager is responsible for the planning and coordination of services and daily operations of people-centered programs for the General Medical and Alternate Level of Care Unit at Strait Richmond Hospital.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and direction for the units and staff to ensure the goals and objectives are continually met
- Promoting and emphasizing people-centered care in partnership with the patient, family, and health care team
- Developing, implementing and maintaining an active human resource plan including recruitment, selection, interviewing, and hiring
- Preparing and analyzing all relevant financial and clinical data, reports trends and identifies where corrective action is required for budget variances, implements changes as required, and evaluates the effectiveness of the changes
- Establishing and maintaining creative and efficient communication processes across clinical teams, geographically different sites, other disciplines, and other stakeholders within NSH as required
- Managing process improvements for quality patient care and enhancing capacity
- Active and effective participation in meetings and on committees
About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Baccalaureate degree from a health discipline
- Master's degree an asset
- Must be registered with the relevant health discipline college/association
- Five years of relevant clinical experience
- Five years experience in a leadership role with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource and financial management
- Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues and trends impacting the publicly funded health care system
- Requires a high level of sound judgment, initiative, and self-direction
- Demonstrates high degrees of independent decision making, motivation, creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and change management knowledge
- Proven and highly developed leadership skills including vision, self-awareness, relationship and team building skills, and communication skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours- Temporary full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

- May require occasional after-hours or weekend support for the units
Compensation and BenefitsPay Scale Type: Management
Band: 6
Hourly Rate: $53.59 - $65.65
Annual Salary: $104,497 - $128,010
