About the Role

As a Health Senior Advisor, you will be a trusted partner to the operation and a key contributor to managing health risks in an underground environment. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in the field, build leadership capability through coaching and influence, and support consistent delivery of exposure monitoring, surveillance, investigations, and improvement plans. It is a strong next step for someone with solid occupational health experience looking to broaden their scope with the support of experienced leaders and clear governance.

Reporting to the Health, Safety, and Security Principal Advisor, you will work closely with operational leaders, contractors, and the wider HSES team in a collaborative environment. You will be relied upon for your expertise, bringing clarity, consistency, and practical support across health-related activities.

  • Put the health and safety of people first in all decisions, programs, and field activities
  • Lead and support site occupational health programs with a strong focus on underground health hazards such as dust, noise, diesel particulate matter, thermal stress, and hazardous substances
  • Provide expert health advice to operational leaders to proactively identify, assess, and manage health risks
  • Support compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and applicable occupational health legislation and Rio Tinto standards
  • Oversee health exposure monitoring, medical surveillance, and occupational hygiene assessments
  • Investigate health related incidents, near misses, and emerging trends, recommending sustainable corrective actions
  • Partner with contractors to ensure consistent understanding of health requirements and expectations
  • Support continuous improvement through audits, data analysis, performance reporting, and workforce training

About You

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, industrial hygiene, health sciences, or a related field
  • Experience in occupational health or industrial hygiene, ideally within mining or heavy industry environments
  • Strong knowledge of health hazards, control strategies, and health program management, including regulatory engagement
  • Ability to communicate clearly and influence leaders, contractors, and frontline teams
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet site requirements, with the flexibility to work across underground and surface environments and use health data systems (e.g., Cority, Microsoft Office)

Where you will be working

You will be joining Resolution Copper at a pivotal moment in the projecte28099s history. With the Resolution Copper Land Exchange now complete, the project is advancing its next phase of technical work, community engagement, and state permitting activities.

Resolution Copper has the potential to supply nearly 25% of total U.S. copper demand and generate several thousand direct and indirect jobs in the Pioneer Mining District of Arizona, delivering an economic value of several billion dollars over the life of the mine. The project will rely on block caving, a proven underground mining method that uses gravity to extract ore from a deposit located more than 2,000 meters below the surface. This technique is the most viable way to safely and efficiently recover the resource.

As development continues, Resolution Copper will expand its underground operations, conduct extensive drilling and orebody characterization, and maintain both the permitting process and ongoing public engagement with Native American tribes, local communities, and stakeholders.

The Resolution Copper project is vital to securing Americae28099s energy future, infrastructure needs, and national defense by providing a domestic supply of copper and other critical minerals.
