Full Job Description
The HP Education Team Lead will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Health Plan leadership team, as applicable, to plan for, supervise and evaluate health plan Training and Education for all managed care plans. The Team Lead will partner with all levels of leadership to identify the need for, recommend, develop and/or oversee the development of draft training material, and assist in final sign off any training material or curriculum. This includes training material, resource development, training platform program oversight, etc.

Performance Responsibilities and Standards:
  • Leads Collaboration effort with subject matter experts to develop training curriculum, educational programs and modules, selecting appropriate delivery method and delivery of content.
  • In collaboration with Department Managers, responsible for managing, planning, organizing, supervising, and coordinating the training and education for all health plans including MLTC, D-SNP, I-SNP, and MAP.
  • Leads Collaboration with health plan leaders and other essential personnel to conduct needs analyses, resolve issues, identify and close performance gaps, and facilitate change.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality improvement processes, i.e., clinical, and operational record audit, utilization review.
  • Ensure Trainers teach in an organized and structured manner utilizing adult learning principles and collaboration skills.
  • Ensure Training team trains in technical and non-technical business requirements, processes and service-oriented responsibilities.
  • Lead effort of developing/updating instructional material for instructor led and online training and education courses
  • Lead effort to develop a system and process to objectively measure care management competencies and monitor the quality of the delivery training.
  • Takes a lead role in planning for system upgrades/updates and assists in the development of training for end users.
  • Fosters an organizational climate reflecting high professional and ethical standards.
  • Ensures accountability of staff to maintain accepted standards of care.
  • Oversees implementation of plans to meet stated objectives and timelines for department.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.


Professional competencies, skills and abilities:
• Must have knowledge of teaching and training techniques.
• Knowledge of curriculum development for adult learners and proficiency in adult education and electronic/computerized training processes preferred.
• Must be able to present the subject matter effectively.
• Ability to work with many cross functional teams.
• Ability to work and communicate in a challenging environment.
• Knowledgeable about community resources available to assist populations and staff with managing populations in the community and long-term care settings.
• Demonstrated willingness to seek resources and expand knowledge

• Maintains knowledge of instructional technologies by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office , Internet, and various software programs for communication, and various audio-visual equipment and software programs.
• Working knowledge of EMR systems.
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and delegation skills required as well as strong interpersonal and relationship skills required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations for managed care.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in nursing, master's degree preferred and at least 2-3 years of experience in managed care or a related area with prior experience in training or education.
• Ability to work proactively and independently
• Excellent communication and telephone skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Computer knowledge required (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Organized and highly motivated; ability to multi-task.
• Exceptional customer service, planning and organizational skills required.
• Attention to detail is a must with great accuracy and follow through.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit or stand 90% of the day.
• Speaking/visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend and express written/verbal communication.

Competitive Salary [This position is an S04 exempt position with a min-max rate of: $82,435-$95,588/annually] with:
