Schedule: Full Time Weekdays 

Location: This position is 100% onsite at Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands VA.

Salary Range: $76,000 - $102,000 annually

The Director of Health Information Management leads a dedicated team as a forward-thinker and champion of data accuracy and privacy to support clinicians, caregivers, patients, and our community. Responsibilities include:

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plan, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. 
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

What we’re looking for: Applicants should have an Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or other related field. Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or other related field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or other related field is preferred. 
• RHIT or RHIA certification is preferred. 
• Previous leadership/supervisory experience is preferred.
