5 years of maintenance experience in a plant environment
3-5 years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams
Strong technical knowledge of equipment including boilers, air compressors, and hydraulic systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work flexible hours
Responsibilities
Direct and supervise all maintenance personnel with hands-on leadership
Develop employee schedules to meet production and emergency maintenance needs
Train, mentor, and support new and current maintenance employees
Implement and enhance preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
Monitor maintenance KPIs such as equipment uptime and MTTR
Oversee the maintenance of plant utility systems and troubleshoot various systems

Virginia Linen Service is seeking an experienced Head Plant Engineer / Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering functions at our Fredericksburg facility. This is an opportunity to join a family-owned regional company that has been successfully serving customers since 1934. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of maintenance leadership experience and a strong background in plant maintenance, equipment reliability, and preventative maintenance programs. Maintenance Leadership: Direct and supervise all maintenance personnel while providing hands-on leadership, coaching, and support.
