Job Description
We are seeking an experienced consulting leader with deep expertise in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Digital Manufacturing Transformation to establish and scale our Pharma Manufacturing Advisory capability within the Industrial Autonomy & Engineering (IAE) business.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience across multiple manufacturing industries with a minimum of five years of direct experience in the pharmaceutical sector. The individual should possess strong domain expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), GxP compliance, Electronic Batch Records (EBR), Technology Transfer, Validation, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Systems, and Digital Manufacturing transformation initiatives.
The role requires a practitioner-oriented leader who combines strategy with hands-on execution, leads selected strategic consulting engagements, and enables sales, solutioning, innovation, and delivery teams to shape opportunities, improve win rates, accelerate revenue growth, and build differentiated Life Sciences solutions.
The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, manufacturing leaders, quality organizations, engineering teams, and technology partners to define transformation roadmaps, develop industry offerings, and position TCS as a trusted transformation partner for pharmaceutical enterprises.
This is not a traditional people-management role. The successful candidate will operate as a senior industry advisor and growth catalyst, leading selected strategic consulting engagements and enabling advisory-led solutioning, innovation, deal shaping, thought leadership, and industry expertise across the broader IAE organization.
Key Responsibilities
Advisory and Consulting Leadership
• Lead strategic consulting engagements across Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences clients.
• Advise Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Digital leaders on transformation priorities and roadmaps.
• Personally participate in selected client engagements requiring deep domain expertise and consulting leadership.
• Guide technology adoption initiatives across Digital Manufacturing, MES, Quality, and Operational Excellence domains.
Deal Shaping and Growth Enablement
• Act as a senior advisor for strategic pursuits and large oppor tunities.
• Support account teams through solutioning, value articulation, and executive client discussions.
• Improve pipeline conversion through differentiated domain-led propositions.
• Serve as a force multiplier across multiple opportunities by enabling solution teams with industry expertise and market insights.
• Support alliance and partner-led growth initiatives within the Life Sciences ecosystem.
Industry and Innovation Leadership
• Build industry-specific frameworks, accelerators, and solution assets.
• Support innovation initiatives focused on Pharma Manufacturing and Digital Plant transformation.
• Develop thought leadership through industry publications, analyst interactions, conference participation, and executive forums.
• Shape future-facing industry offerings around Industry 4.0, Connected Operations, Autonomous Manufacturing, and AI-enabled Manufacturing.
Capability Development
• Mentor consulting, sales, solutioning, and delivery teams.
• Enhance organizational capability in MES, Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Life Sciences transformation.
• Build and scale a differentiated Pharma Manufacturing Advisory practice within IAE.
• Develop reusable consulting methodologies and transformation playbooks.
KPIs relevant for the role

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in engineering, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
• MBA or advanced business qualification preferred.
Years of experience required for position:
• Twenty-plus years of experience across manufacturing, consulting, technology, or Life Sciences organizations, including at least five years in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
• Demonstrated exposure to Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, MedTech, or Process Manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experien ce supporting large-scale transformation programs, consulting engagements, solution development, and business growth initiatives.
• Experience engaging with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Digital leadership teams.
• Exposure to global delivery models and offshore execution environments.

Salary Range: $200,000-$290,000 a year
