Key Responsibilities- Implement, own and develop the tax structuring and compliance of Wellbore and all its subsidiaries in all jurisdictions where Wellbore has a taxable presence
- Develop, as needed, the tax team of Wellbore and partner with VP & Chief Acct Officer how to best to structure the department with internal hires versus external consultants
- Maintain and own the global compliance reporting calendar and ensure Wellbore remains in good standing in all the territories within which we operate
- Help prepare, review and timely submit US federal tax returns in conjunction with the tax team and advisors
- Implementing a program of global tax compliance that is both effective and cost efficient
- Support regional financial controllers and headquarters with tax questions and planning
- Forecast and advise on future tax liabilities
- Responsible for maintaining all 3rd party relationships with tax providers globally and using, as needed, regional controllers to support regional activity
- Responsible for working with the various vice-presidents of the company to implement a simple but effective and robust transfer pricing mechanism for intercompany sales
- Maintain tax books and implement effective controls to make sure additions/ disposals and general business changes are always captured correctly from a tax perspective in the ERP and tax systems
- Advise VP & Chief Acct Officer and senior management on new projects, acquisitions, disposals about important tax consequences to drive best decision making in a fluid environment
- Comply with all Company & Regulatory HS&E & Quality and IT standards and policies
- Conduct business with professionalism and in line with WIS Core Values

Qualifications:- Bachelors in accounting, Finance or related field
- At least 10 years of experience working in a global organization and structuring taxes across a global entity, preferably within the energy industry
- Experience managing tax compliance globally and ability to minimize tax compliance overhead costs through outsourcing v internalizing tax resources based on scalability and size in different regions
- Understanding of interpreting tax treaties, implementing tax structuring, deriving fair transfer pricing
- Strong understanding of US tax principles including the impact of recent US Tax code changes for global energy companies
- Experience in oil & gas industry preferred
- CPA or Equivalent Certification preferred
