Summary

The position leads Logistics (Intralogistics and Transportation), Operational SCM Field Replenishment, Operational SCM Inventory Management, Procurement, and Quality Control for G+D Currency Technology for United States and Canada.

The position ensures that materials and products are available at the required quality, cost, and delivery levels while optimizing inventory, working capital, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. Working within a global matrix organization, the Head of Supply Chain Management aligns regional priorities with the Global Head of Logistics, the Regional CFO, and other key stakeholders to support customer commitments, financial objectives, and short- and long-term business goals.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term supply chain strategies, objectives, plans, budgets, and cost estimates in alignment with regional and global business priorities.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve an integrated end-to-end supply chain operating model across procurement, field replenishment, inventory management, intralogistics, transportation, and quality control.
  • Lead strategic sourcing activities, review buyer sourcing decisions, support major supplier negotiations, and establish purchasing policies and procedures that balance cost, quality, delivery, risk, and compliance.
  • Direct material forecasting, field replenishment, inventory control, intralogistics, transportation, shipping, distribution, and import/export activities to support installations and customer delivery commitments.
  • Establish appropriate process ownership, controls, and governance to support the accuracy and integrity of supply chain data in MRP and ERP systems, including SAP.
  • Optimize material costs, inventory levels, working capital, freight and logistics costs, and supplier performance while maintaining operational continuity and customer service.
  • Monitor and report key supply chain performance indicators, including on-time delivery, field replenishment, inventory accuracy and turns, supplier quality and delivery, material availability, logistics performance, cost savings, and obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
  • Identify supply chain and quality risks and lead mitigation, business-continuity, and problem-resolution efforts involving suppliers, vendors, field service, shipping and receiving, customer service, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma, process mining and other applicable methodologies to strengthen processes, controls, productivity, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, communicate expectations; conduct performance reviews; and recommend appropriate compensation, promotion, and development actions.
  • Promote compliance with company policies, internal controls, safety requirements, quality standards, applicable laws and regulations, and standard operating procedures.


Supervisory responsibilities

Provides direct leadership to Logistics (Intralogistics and Transportation), Operational SCM Field Replenishment, Operational SCM Inventory Management, Procurement, and Quality Control.

Travel required

Yes. Domestic and international travel is required as business needs dictate.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, operations management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 8+ or more years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or logistics, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple supply chain functions and managing budgets, cost-reduction initiatives, working capital, and operational performance indicators.
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization is preferred.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM, or a comparable professional certification is preferred. Experience with SAP, supply chain analytics, Power BI, process mining, and digital supply chain solutions is highly desirable.
