Full Job Description
Stord is looking for a Head of Social Media to build and run our social presence from the ground up, not just as a strategist overseeing a calendar, but as a hands-on creator who's comfortable being the face and voice behind the content. This role owns three interconnected pillars: CEO and executive social presence, employee advocacy and employee-generated content, and Stord's corporate brand voice across social channels. You'll set the strategy and also execute it, filming, writing, editing, and posting, while building the systems and habits that make social a consistent growth engine for the company.

What You'll Do
  • Own and execute CEO and executive social strategy: ghostwrite and co-create posts, identify moments worth capturing, coach executives on their on-camera and written presence, and turn their expertise into content that builds authority and reach.
  • Build and scale an employee advocacy program that turns Stordians into authentic voices for the brand, sourcing stories, training employees to post confidently, and making it easy for talent across the company to participate.
  • Set corporate social strategy across platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube as relevant) and translate broader marketing and business goals into a channel-specific content plan.
  • Act as an on-camera creator yourself when needed, comfortable being in front of the camera, producing short-form video, and setting the creative bar rather than just directing others toward it.
  • Manage end-to-end execution: content calendars, production workflows, publishing cadence, and performance reporting tied to real business outcomes (pipeline, brand awareness, talent attraction).
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, People/Talent, Sales, and the executive team to source stories, align messaging, and keep social content grounded in what's actually happening at the company.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends and formats, testing new approaches rather than defaulting to what's worked before.

What You'll Bring
  • 6+ years in social media, content, or communications roles, including experience building programs from scratch rather than just maintaining existing ones.
  • A portfolio or track record showing you can both strategize and execute; you can point to content you personally created, not just directed.
  • Experience supporting executive or founder-level social presence (ghostwriting, coaching, or content strategy for leadership).
  • Comfort being on camera and treating yourself as a creator, not only a behind-the-scenes strategist.
  • Strong writing skills and a sharp editorial instinct for what makes content feel authentic versus corporate.
  • Experience in B2B, tech, or a comparably complex industry is a plus. Ability to translate technical or operational subject matter (supply chain, logistics) into engaging, human content is valuable here.
  • A bias toward action: comfortable owning ambiguity and building process rather than waiting for one to be handed to you.

Why This Role Matters at Stord
Social is becoming one of the most trusted channels for B2B buyers and talent alike, and this role is a bet on that shift. You'd be joining at a stage where the strategy and the muscle memory for consistent, high-quality social content are still being built, meaning your fingerprints will be on how Stord shows up in the market for years to come.
