Head of Regional Supply Chain 1

Head of Supply Chain North America

Location: Mount Vernon, USA

About the Role

As Head of Supply Chain North America, you will be responsible for leading and optimising the end-to-end supply chain performance across the North America region.

You will ensure alignment between demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and distribution activities while driving the regional S&OP process and supporting business objectives through effective planning and execution.

Working closely with Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Global Supply Chain stakeholders, you will play a key role in creating a stable, predictable, and efficient supply chain organisation that delivers high service levels and supports profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Supply Chain Management
  • Own regional supply chain performance across planning, inventory, and delivery.
  • Ensure optimal flow of products from production sites to customers in line with demand and available capacity.
  • Balance service levels, inventory, and supply chain costs across the region.
  • Act as the regional owner of supply chain execution and coordination.


Planning & S&OP
  • Lead and drive regional planning processes, ensuring alignment between demand and supply.
  • Facilitate and strengthen the S&OP process through robust data, scenarios, and decision support.
  • Translate commercial forecasts and market priorities into executable supply plans.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between Sales, Operations, and Production teams.


Inventory & Flow Management
  • Own regional inventory performance and working capital targets.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to shortages, excess stock, and supply bottlenecks.
  • Drive initiatives to improve inventory turnover and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Provide transparency and analysis on service level and inventory deviations.


Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and monitor key supply chain KPIs, including service level, planning accuracy, and inventory performance.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive harmonisation of processes across the region.
  • Support the implementation of Group standards, systems, and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Regional Operations, Plant Managers, Commercial teams, and Finance.
  • Act as the key interface between Supply Chain, Commercial, and Operations functions.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain teams and other regions where relevant.
  • Support regional leadership in making informed decisions regarding supply chain trade-offs and priorities.


People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop the regional Supply Chain team.
  • Build organisational capabilities and ensure the right level of competence across the function.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support talent development and succession planning within the Supply Chain organisation.


Who Are You?

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Supply Chain leader who thrives in a complex international environment. You combine strong analytical capabilities with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and countries.

You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, driving performance while building strong relationships across the organisation.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of Supply Chain experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and S&OP processes.
  • Proven experience in multinational, multi-site manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain performance management and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working within matrix organisations and managing complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP and supply chain planning systems.
  • Proven experience leading teams across multiple locations.
  • Fluent English is mandatory. Spanish or Portuguese would be considered an advantage.
