This leader will be accountable for modernizing the real estate lending technology ecosystem, improving business outcomes, and delivering secure, resilient, and scalable platforms across the full lending lifecycle. The successful candidate will combine deep knowledge of real estate lending products and platforms with strong experience leading global teams, establishing product-centric operating models, managing strategic vendors, and applying data and AI to simplify processes and improve client and teammate experiences. The Head of Real Estate Lending Technology is responsible for defining and executing the technology vision, strategy, and modernization roadmap for the real estate lending business. This executive leads global teams across engineering, architecture, product management, data, quality engineering, platform operations, and production support, driving the adoption of a product-centric operating model that aligns technology investments with business outcomes. The role partners closely with business, operations, risk, compliance, and finance leaders to modernize legacy platforms, accelerate cloud and API adoption, and leverage AI capabilities to improve efficiency, underwriting, servicing, risk management, and customer experience. Additionally, this leader oversees data strategy, technology portfolio economics, vendor management, cybersecurity, platform resilience, and regulatory compliance while fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, operational excellence, and measurable business value. Qualifications Required Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelors degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. 2. Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in technology operations. 3. Broad leadership and management experience leading complex technology operations teams. 4. Proven ability to manage complex operational initiatives across multiple teams. Preferred Qualifications 1. Extensive leadership experience in real estate lending technology or a related secured lending environment, with deep expertise across the full lending lifecycle from origination through servicing and loss mitigation. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of real estate lending products, platforms, and ecosystems, including loan origination, underwriting, pricing, servicing, digital customer engagement, data services, and third-party integrations. 3. Proven track record modernizing complex legacy technology environments through cloud adoption, platform simplification, automation, and digital transformation while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational stability. 4. Demonstrated success leading product-centric organizations and multidisciplinary teams spanning technology, business, data, operations, and risk functions. 5. Strong financial acumen with experience managing large technology portfolios, investment prioritization, business case development, vendor relationships, and total cost of ownership optimization. 6. Expertise in emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation, with a strong understanding of responsible AI practices in regulated environments. 7. Deep understanding of data architecture, governance, privacy, quality, lineage, and analytics, coupled with knowledge of mortgage industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements. 8. Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across business, technology, risk, regulatory, and vendor organizations. The annual base salary for this position is $250,000 - $300,000. General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.Truist offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax-preferred savings accounts, and a 401k plan to teammates.
