This is a high-impact role for a visionary leader who excels at balancing creative attendee journeys with the operational rigor required of a multi-billion dollar enterprise.

This role is remote with travel, both domestic and international, anticipated up to 30% of the time.

Strategic Leadership & Impact

  • Visionary Portfolio Management: Build and evolve a strategic events roadmap that aligns with company-wide priorities, ensuring every event serves as a catalyst for our mission and values.

  • Enterprise Alignment: Act as a strategic partner to Marketing, Sales, Field, and Channel leadership to ensure event strategies are deeply integrated into the go-to-market motion and localized for global relevance.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish a culture of accountability by using data and analytics to measure event ROI, attendee sentiment, and pipeline impact. You will use these insights to justify investments, pivot strategies, and optimize the portfolio for growth.

  • Creative Excellence: Set the standard for high-fidelity event experiences that engage, educate, and inspire, ensuring our products are showcased through a lens of innovation and customer success.

Operational & People Excellence

  • Team Development & Mentorship: Lead with a "People First" mindset. You will be responsible for the career architecture and growth of a high-performing team, fostering an environment of psychological safety, resilience, and continuous learning.

  • Global Operational Rigor: Develop and institutionalize the frameworks, playbooks, and processes necessary for a global team to operate with speed and consistency.

  • Financial Stewardship: Manage complex, multi-million dollar budgets with a focus on revenue modeling, contract risk mitigation, and sophisticated forecasting.

  • Change Leadership: Serve as a stabilizing force during periods of rapid change, navigating business shifts and logistical challenges with agility and a solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • You will collaborate with marketing, sales, field, and channel leaders to align event strategies with company vision, priorities, and target audiences, including the localization of strategies for regional events.

  • You will design event experiences that engage, educate, and entertain attendees while reflecting our values and showcasing our products.

  • You will develop operational structures and processes for efficient, flexible teamwork with global teams across Atlassian, including the creation of event frameworks and playbooks.

  • You will manage complex event budgets including revenue modeling, contract risk mitigations, attrition and forecasting.
